House Council Minutes: May 31st

We have now reached the final meeting of this two-thousand and ninth year of our Lord and the 31st day of the fifth month, that being the month of May. It seems that our house council members are too preoccupied watching some men with sticks get angry that the man who decides how the men with sticks are allowed to behave did not remain consistent with their own conceptions of how he should be determining how they behave. Awesome.

Who will go to Walgreens to pick this up? How we will pay for this? We allocated fifty dollars to buy Red Bulls. Someone tomorrow will go pick them up?

Oh, by the way. Compton House will be no longer at the beginning of next year and will be known as DelGiorno House.

We want to petition DelGiorno for a House Escalade out of which we will tailgate with him.

Ben will say something now: IHC will take its first substantive vote of the year on Tuesday June 2nd. Short-term, long-term and the lukewarm medium-term recommendations for next year. How will Ben vote?

“Do you know what room it’s* in?” -- Anna *The 523 Beverage Shop

Sam stumbles over his words and incites the rage of us to tell us that money is due for people that want their possessions moved by the moving service hired by the Shoreland Council.

Compton House Minutes - May 17, 2009

Perhaps we will start soon. We ponder the whereabouts of Tex. I, personally, have not heard him.

Picnic on the Point this Saturday.

John on the Box: No progress, yet.

Charles could go to Walgreens to accrue said Energy Drinks. When will he do that?

John could even go to Walgreens, Charles won’t be able to do it tonight.

Sam has a couple things: June 5th, moving: Will fit as many trips as possible to go to New Dorm. No word on specifically what kind of service we will get, could be Igor, could not.

ANNA IS SO SMART! Her idea was to have a buddy system, she still thinks it’s a good idea.

$75 for the Dunes. That money is coming from the House, so Shoreland Council will reimburse us.

LEE.

Blood Drive, let’s screw them over and exploit their weak points.

Sam has one more, fourth/final thing. Shoreland BBQ vs. Dunes. Hell yeah.

House Funds are at 280 dollars, 230 dollars now. Hopefully we will make money off of this risky venture. So risky.

Jake proves that he will perpetually one-up himself in degrees of awesome remarks that merit swift rebukes.

Compton House Minutes - May 10, 2009

The house now has 100 new dollars in the house. Woo hoo! Igor won.

The question remains, what do we spend the money on?

The Box? Matt and Charles are willing to do it. Lexi wants to use it for paintball, the money won’t generate profit in that sense.

Charles has arrived.

Ben Smithgall thinks we should save money for next year.

John Binder says something about HARC funding.

Ben Smithgall says that it leaves us with absolutely nothing for next year.

First years pay dues? Everyone could pay that. 5 dollars from everyone in the house = 450 dollars.

Reimbursement for study breaks? Parent catering? Paid socializing?

Capone’s Theory, will it be modified in SoCam?

Let’s decide how we want to spend this money?

5 vs. 4 - 50 Bucks to restock the box with just energy drinks.

Paintball - 5 per person - 45 dollars - does not pass

Study Breaks are not being reimbursed.

A much bureaucratic meeting has ended in disappointment from many. I am very tired. Now, to write paper and do 100 pages of reading, if I can.

P.S. It’s 18 dollars to go to the Harry Potter exhibit.

House Minutes: May 3rd, 2009

The new RAs are here to find out how we run it. Let’s show em how we run it. We gon run it. To run it.

Poker will be next Friday, and not registered as a party. It will be an underground thang, a strictly Compton affair. Gs up, Hos down.

Dunes!! MY FAVORITE TIME EVER!! THE END OF 7TH WEEK?!?! WHEN IS RELAY 4 LIFE?!??!?

“Harry Pottery” Exhibit at MSI, should we go as a house? A haus? We will ask the people at the meeting. Apparently John Binder has no sense of humour.

We have 98 dollars, sick. For the record:

If what Charles and John said could not get them money, then Jesus himself could not get 75 dollars for Compton House. Perhaps Muhammad would be more effective.

Let’s bicker about Shoreland Council.

John, Charles and Sam want to restarck the Box in Charles’ or another’s room.

IHC STUFF:

We are in contention for 100 dollars. How can we mismanage these funds?!?! Only time will tell!

An email sent out about general budget cuts, how that was affecting thangs.

They cutting the maintenance budget, the Shoreland is a large drain, like Britain to India. Wait. What.

Sgt. Roberts says “Sup y’all.”

Charles => Cahrles => Carl’s => Carl = Carl Guo

Sam has one more announcement, the Shoreland Council has 10 million dollars and they are trying to figure out some event to do with the money.

What about transferring people to the New Dorm?

Anna: “Oh! We have to emphasize...”

UHAUL IS SO DANGEROUS AND BAD! UDONOTHAUL.
Jose enjoyed 17 Again. The Cubs won today. Catherine made a really cool thing, but it died.
