House Minutes - January 31st, 2010

T-shirts will be done this week. There's something like 5 people who haven't put down their $10 yet; Anna will be letting them know shortly.

Besides that it sounds like there's literally nothing to talk about.

House Minutes - January 24th, 2010

This house council meeting brought to you by Brett Favre. Because when you get sacked, the only way to save face is to pretend that you're injured.

We're losing on both fronts in IMs. Obviously we need more girls. Yeah, that's the solution. Tex is already looking to next quarter's IMs to restore DGH to its former glory.

Sam States is making salami skewers for study break. Oh god that sounds so good.

We're planning on a trip to see Avatar in IMAX sometime in the future, as a house trip.

We have 40 orders for t-shirts, but only 17 people have actually put down money in advance. Dan and Anna need more people to put money down before they'll order the t-shirts.

TEX HAS NOT FILLED OUT THE HOUSING SURVEY IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH IMPEACH

seriously though we're probably not going to win. no reason not to try though!

If people have any suggestions on how exercise equipment, musical instruments, or rec room equipment can be improved, you should send an email to Charles and let him know your thoughts.

Tex has an idea for a student broomball tournament to raise money for Haiti relief. Ideas for Haiti relief fundraisers get tossed around.

Punitive measures in the house kitchen aren't really working yet. We'll give it some more time, maybe make some cleaning supplies more available before we finally evaluate how successful the Kitchen Reform Bill was.

House Minutes - January 10th, 2010

Ben: "Can we auction off the naming rights to the new baby?"
Anna: "Only if it's, like, more than like $75"

T-shirts: "Straight outta Compton", full-body wins by a 2-1 margin, with about 60% of the house participating. If Charles can not let everyone down, they should be really cheap ($10).

Ben: "I actually think... that ten dollars is less than eight dollars."
OUR HOUSE PRESIDENT HAS APPARENTLY NOT TAKEN ANY MATH HERE.

The SCRH-W council is doing an Oscars marathon, culminating in an event during the actual Oscars where people will dress up and come out to watch the event go down on the giant projector screen.

Kuvia. Psh, you think you're hardcore for waking up early one week? Try Kuvia hard mode: do not sleep at all during finals week.

It would be really nice if people could leave their doordecs up and/or put up an identifying sign on their doors so that people can find you if necessary. We'll also update the maps in the lounge to be accurate (a lot of people have moved around since the year started).

House Minutes - January 4th, 2010

The heating problem isn't just us - other houses have really cold lounges too. Lukas coughs a lot. :(

Welcome back everyone! The city is clearly delighted to have us back, given the glorious weather.

Charles needs to get the ball rolling on the house t-shirt thing. God, what's taking that idiot so long? There should be two designs going out to the house pretty soon for a formal vote.

The Council needs a more active propaganda department. Maybe we should establish a committee.

The kitchen is disgusting (or was before Evan arrived on the scene). We'll have people go clean it ASAP.

As always, our birthday pixies are doing a great job. Apparently we're having some Sprite cake to commemorate the winter and summer birthdays. Yum yum. I remember going through a Lucky Charms and Sprite phase myself. Good times.

Dan is absolutely trashed right now. Looks like he's moving into the hangover phase, actually.

Vidya game tournament needs to get rolling. Sam ain't here so we don't know what to do.

Broomball, indoor soccer. Tex will get on that with Ben's urging.

welp meeting's p much over google reader time. afk
